Job summary

Insight Public Sector is seeking an Architect II to lead the design and documentation of Microsoft 365 solutions, including Copilot integrations, SharePoint site structures, and Teams frameworks. You will own requirements sessions with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical designs.

Responsibilities include managing configuration, migration, and deployment within Microsoft 365 workloads, and collaborating with IT, security, and business teams to ensure governance and performance

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with business/tech focus.
• 3–5+ years in supervisory or team/project lead roles.

About the role

Along the way, you will get to:

• Lead in the design and documentation of M365 solutions, including Copilot integrations, SharePoint site structures, Teams collaboration frameworks, and OneDrive storage strategies.
• Ownership of requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into preliminary technical designs.
• Manage configuration, customization, migration, and deployment activities within Microsoft 365 workloads.
• Collaborate with IT, security, and business teams to ensure solutions meet compliance, governance, and performance standards.
• Contribute to architecture diagrams, governance documentation, and user enablement materials.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to M365 applications and integrations.
• Stay current with Microsoft 365 roadmap updates, new features, and industry best practices, especially AI capabilities in M365 Copilot.

What we’re looking for

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a business\technology or equivalent technical experience
• 3-5+ years experience in a supervisory or team\project lead capacity

Technical Skills:

• Broad technological expertise preferred in multiple areas including the following: Compute & Storage, Networking, Operating Systems, or Solutions Architecture.
• 5-7+ years exposure to large enterprise IT environments and the skills required to support this type of environment.
• Expert level certification in at least one discipline and supporting professional level certifications in multiple additional disciplines, preferred.
• Expected to actively pursue continuing education to support new industry technologies.
• Advanced understanding of M365 administration, governance, and security concepts.
• Familiarity with SharePoint Online site creation and content management.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Teams configuration and lifecycle management.
• Awareness of OneDrive for Business synchronization and sharing controls.
• Interest in AI-powered productivity tools such as M365 Copilot.
• Secondary skills (nice to have some limited knowledge of): Power Platform and Purview

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Presentation skills.
• Ability to work under guidance and adapt to evolving technologies.
• Coaches and mentors Architects, Consultants, and Engineers through technical challenges in their area of expertise
