Primary Focus

Our Architect I’s lead technical project delivery while beginning to mentor others and support our firm’s initiatives. This position is responsible for detailing of project designs, or construction drawing assignments, with a project team based on technical proficiency, technical problem-solving expertise, work experience, and project constraints. We work with a variety of clients to create aesthetically pleasing, functional, and sustainable spaces for a broad range of projects in healthcare, education, civic, mixed-use, commercial, residential, and more. Background in architecture with strong technical expertise to create and develop detailed construction documents applying their knowledge of and experience with building codes, building systems, site planning, zoning, bid packages, submittals, fieldwork, project scheduling, budgeting, and cost estimating.

Essential Functions
  • Leads construction documentation and construction administration.
  • Performs code reviews.
  • Coordinates relationships with consultants.
  • Serves as project contact with our clients.
  • Develops and delivers comprehensive technical design presentations and architectural models to clearly communicate project intent.
  • Supports the firm’s overall business development.
  • Mentors' architectural technicians in their roles.
Experience
  • Five (5) or more years of related architectural work experience.
  • Proficient in the use of Revit to effectively produce quality documents.
  • Experience working in Bluebeam to review and coordinate team documentation.
  • Proven presentation and communication skills.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Hybrid work format (3 days in office; 2 days remote).

  • Must be able to navigate project sites.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • English language communication and client interface skills.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States, without need for sponsorship.
Education
  • Professional degree in architecture from an NCARB accredited program.
