Job summary

The National Hockey League (NHL) is seeking a Senior Manager, Digital Data Solutions to own how digital data moves through our systems—from source to pipelines, storage, and APIs that support the business. You will lead data integrations, Adobe Analytics strategy, and identity resolution.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in data engineering/architecture, hands-on with Adobe Experience Platform, and strong SQL data modeling skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data engineering/architecture with 2–3 years in people/projects; leadership experience.
• Hands-on with Adobe Experience Platform stack at implementation/architecture level.
• Designing/building data pipelines (batch/streaming) and third-party integrations.
• Cloud data platforms experience (AWS preferred: S3, Glue, Redshift/Snowflake, Lambda).
• Identity resolution and identity graph concepts; cross-device stitching and consent management.
• Ad tech data flows; data quality impacts monetization strategies.
• Strong SQL; data modeling, schema design, and API design for data access.
• Vendor/partner technical relationship management and architecture reviews.
• Data security and access controls (IAM, VPC, PII handling).
• Preferred: sports/media digital platforms; club data products; CDPs/identity unification; vendor integrations.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and delivery of digital data integrations — connecting web, app, game platforms, and third‑party vendor feeds into our core data infrastructure.
• Own our Adobe Experience Platform / Adobe Analytics implementation strategy — data collection, schemas, and integration with downstream systems.
• Translate requirements from analytics, product, and business stakeholders into concrete data solutions (pipelines, APIs, schemas, integration specs).
• Define and enforce data integration standards across digital properties, including third‑party/vendor‑built platforms, to ensure consistency and data quality.
• Manage the technical relationship with external vendors/partners building on our platforms — reviewing their data architecture, access requests, and integration approach.
• Partner with security and platform engineering on data access, connectivity, and hosting decisions for new digital integrations.
• Help with the data strategy behind ad monetization — ensuring ad platforms have the data needed to maximize yield, and that ad data flows back into reporting/analytics.
• Design and own identity resolution strategy — stitching fan identity across web, app, game, and club properties into a single addressable profile with privacy in mind.
• Support clubs directly with their data needs — building data feeds, dashboards, or integration points for club data requests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues; document data flows and schemas for reuse.
• Document data flows, schemas, and integration patterns so other teams can build against them confidently.
