Responsibilities:
Lead schematic and design development efforts for current and upcoming buildings
Research zoning, codes, and permitting requirements
Produce architectural drawings, visualizations, and presentations
Coordinate with consultants, city agencies, and construction teams
Develop client-facing work, including feasibility studies and concept design for third-party developers
Qualifications:
5 to 10 years of architectural experience in a professional setting
Licensed architect (or actively pursuing licensure)
Strong design portfolio that demonstrates clarity, technical skill, and an appreciation for material and context
Proficiency in Revit, Rhino or SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering tools such as Enscape or Twinmotion
Familiarity with construction documentation, entitlements, and working with city departments
Excellent written and verbal communication
Experience with historic buildings or adaptive reuse projects is highly valued
What We Offer:
A leadership role with space to influence design and direction
Direct access to real development work, including financing, entitlements, and build-out
Opportunity to see your designs move from concept to construction quickly
A flexible hybrid work environment based in Jersey City
Annual salary with performance-based bonus potential
Long-term growth opportunities, including profit sharing or leadership equity
