The Role

As a Presidio Architect, Collaboration, you will serve as a strategic technical leader and subject matter expert in advanced unified communications and collaboration technologies. You will lead complex, enterprise-scale collaboration projects from architecture and design through to implementation and hand-off, while also providing mentorship and technical oversight to engineering teams. Your role will be critical in ensuring successful project delivery and driving customer satisfaction across a wide range of collaboration and contact center platforms.

Travel:

This role will be remotely located in either of the following locations: King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, Glastonbury, CT, Morristown, NJ, Hauppauge, Long Island with travel required to the client site as needed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the design and architecture of complex, multi-platform collaboration and contact center solutions across enterprise customer environments
  • Act as the technical lead and escalation point on large and high-visibility projects
  • Define architecture standards, best practices, and technical documentation across projects
  • Collaborate with customers to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and cost-effective technical solutions
  • Provide strategic guidance on solution selection, integration, and deployment methods
  • Mentor and support Senior Engineers and project delivery teams, reviewing designs and offering guidance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead discovery sessions, workshops, and design reviews with customer stakeholders.
  • Interface with product vendors, manufacturers, and partners to ensure interoperability and best-fit technologies
  • Produce high-quality documentation including solution architecture diagrams, design documents, migration plans, and “as-built” deliverables
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, advising internal teams and customers on future-state collaboration strategies
  • Leverage automation and scripting to streamline complex deployment and operational tasks, increasing project efficiency and consistency
  • Apply deep expertise in network infrastructure and security technologies to architect, troubleshoot, and optimize all layers of the collaboration ecosystem
  • Support pre-sales activities as a technical SME when required

Required Skills and Professional Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent work experience and/or military experience
  • 10+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting advanced collaboration solutions
  • Proven experience in leading and delivering large-scale, multi-site collaboration deployments
  • Deep hands-on knowledge of:
    • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)
    • Cisco Unity Connection
    • Cisco Expressway & CUBE
    • Cisco UCCX and scripting
    • Cisco WebEx Calling
    • Microsoft Teams Calling
    • Zoom Collaboration Solutions
    • Gateways (MGCP, SIP, PRI, FXO, FXS)
    • E911 (e.g., RedSky)
    • QoS across enterprise network infrastructures
    • Third-party integrations (Call recording, Paging, Faxing, etc.)
  • Experience architecting hybrid and cloud collaboration solutions including Cisco Webex Dedicated Instanceand Microsoft Teams Direct Routing
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and provide technical leadership in cross-functional project teams
  • CCNP Collaboration required

Preferred Skills and Professional Experience:

  • Experience developing API-based integrations using Python, JavaScript, Node.js, or Java
  • Experience with AWS voice and collaboration solutions (e.g., Amazon Connect, Lambda, Lex, etc.)
  • Familiarity with CRM and WFO integrations for omni-channel environments
  • Experience guiding clients through cloud migrations and collaboration modernization strategies
  • Advanced understanding of enterprise voice and video architectures
  • CCIE Collaboration strongly preferred
  • AWS or Microsoft certifications are a plus
