Job summary

Tylent is seeking a Project Architect to join our Rochester, NY office. This onsite role requires a licensed architect with strong hands-on design experience and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and related software.

Ideal candidates will have 6+ years of hands-on design and documentation experience, a NY licensure or reciprocity plan, and the ability to mentor junior staff. Travel for site visits with a valid driver's license may be required.

• Experience: 6+ years of hands-on design and documentation experience.
• Licensure: NY Professional licensure or ability to gain reciprocity within a reasonable timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on design and documentation responsibilities, not 100% PM.
• Mentor junior staff and communicate clearly with project teams.
• Support Construction Administration activities where needed and assist in value engineering.

Position: Project Architect

Location: Rochester, NY (Onsite)

Job Type: Fulltime / Direct Hire

CLIENT NOTES:

• 1.Project Architect not residential
• 2.Must have Architect license (preferably in NY or able to gain reciprocity within 6 months)
• 3.Must have mostly hands-on design experience not 100% PM
• 4.Construction Administration a plus
• 5.Based in Rochester, NY office only, no remote work

Required Qualifications:

• Education: 5-year NAAB Accredited degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Experience: 6+ years of hands-on design and documentation experience.
• Licensure: Professional licensure in the State of New York (or the ability to gain reciprocity within a reasonable timeframe).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, and NYS Energy Software.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to mentor junior staff.
• Travel: A valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required for site visits.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical Competence: Advanced technical competence in the architecture discipline and construction administration.
• Project Management: Demonstrated ability to organize workload assignments and assist in value engineering efforts.
