Job description

The Architect is responsible for the planning and design of a variety of building projects for industrial clients. Project types include new buildings or the renovation of existing buildings/employee office spaces (Common spaces such as meeting rooms, break rooms, restrooms, cafeteria, lobby, housekeeping storage, etc.), laboratories, offices, and research & production spaces.

Responsibilities for this position include producing planning, contract, and specification documents.

Desirable skills include an understanding of space planning & design for municipal projects, science & technology facilities design (laboratory & research space), and higher education projects (classrooms, laboratories).

This position provides technical knowledge in the architectural discipline and assists colleagues in solving complex design problems through state‑of‑the‑art technology such as Building Information Modeling (Revit) and other visualization tools such as SketchUp, Rhino 3D, 3DS Max, etc.
