Job summary:
Are you an Architect living in the Southeastern US? A growing Florida design/build firm is looking for you. Candidates need a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and at least five years' experience in a construction setting. Should have the ability to work well with others under deadline situations. The position requires a security clearance and will be only open to candidates eligible to work in the US.

Remote position with some travel.

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform routine to moderately difficult architectural projects with minimal supervision.
  2. Conduct programming and design charrettes among the project team members, end users, and key stakeholders to lead the transformation of a project from a static, complex problem to a successful, buildable plan that is within budget, project scope, and schedule.
  3. Prepare working drawings, calculations, specifications, basis of design narratives, schedules, and cost estimates on specific projects.
  4. Ensure that projects meet applicable building codes, ADA guidelines, client requirements, and applicable laws.
  5. Communicate effectively with the Director of Architecture and clients regarding contract documents, change orders, and other contract modifications.
  6. Coordinate with in-house team and outside consultants to develop a coordinated set of construction documents.
  7. Maintain all drawings, documents, and communications according to the filing system for easy access.
  8. Deploy problem-solving skills and report issues to the Director of Architecture as needed.
  9. Coordinate contract administration and monthly project invoicing with the project administrator.
  10. Perform field activities such as observing and recording existing conditions, taking photos, providing condition assessments, and verifying measurements.
  11. Travel to project sites for meetings and field observations.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
