TYG is seeking an Architect to join its Building Assessments team in Dallas. Move beyond design to a client-facing role, applying architectural knowledge to assess existing buildings and support capital planning decisions for owners and investors.
Responsibilities include site visits, evaluating conditions, reviewing drawings, and preparing clear technical reports. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience, strong writing skills, and a willingness to work in the field.
Are you an Architect who wants to take your experience beyond traditional design and use your architectural knowledge in a more strategic, client-facing role?
I’m working with a nationally recognized building consulting firm that is expanding its Building Assessments team in Dallas and is looking to add an experienced Architect to the business.
This is a great opportunity to leverage your understanding of buildings, construction documentation and building systems while getting closer to the commercial real estate and investment side of the industry.
Rather than spending your time solely behind a desk working on design, you’ll be out in the field, assessing existing buildings, solving real-world problems and working directly with owners, investors and other real estate stakeholders.
You’ll work across a diverse portfolio of commercial properties, carrying out building assessments and due diligence that directly influence major real estate decisions.
Your architectural background will be particularly valuable when assessing how buildings have been designed and constructed, identifying potential issues and translating your findings into clear recommendations for clients.
This is an opportunity to take the architectural skills you've already developed and apply them in a completely different way.
You’ll gain exposure to commercial real estate, due diligence, capital planning and building consulting, while developing relationships directly with the people making significant decisions about major assets.
If you're an Architect who enjoys understanding how buildings actually perform and wants to move towards a more strategic, advisory and client-facing career, this could be a very interesting next step.
