Housable is a housing development platform for real estate owners, backed by the same VC investors behind Uber, Postmates, and Coinbase. We partner with top real estate owners/operators to design, permit, and build infill housing across California. With over 1,000 units already completed and in progress, we’re expanding our team to accelerate our development pipeline.

We’re seeking architects with strong experience and an entrepreneurial mindset to join our project management team and directly manage ongoing projects in design and construction.

Responsibilities
  • Design and permit projects for construction
  • Oversee all aspects of projects, including deadlines and deliverables
  • Conduct construction site visits and manage construction administration
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and plan reviewers
  • Evaluate potential project sites and develop design concepts
  • Prepare presentations for client and AHJ meetings
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and consultants to advance projects
  • Know your project budget and identify cost-efficient improvements
Experience
  • Active California Architect License or completion of ARE exams
  • Minimum two years of experience in residential design and construction
  • Familiarity with complete AE and construction industry vocabulary
  • Proven ability to work with clients to meet goals and manage expectations
  • Experience with project or work management tools
