Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Lead Propulsion Test Engineer at the Stennis Test Center to lead a team of engineers and technicians conducting Archimedes engine propulsion tests, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence. You will generate detailed procedures and oversee test execution across multiple disciplines.

You will review data, procure components, manage vendors, and help shape facility capabilities while guiding projects from concept through operation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years industry experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams to deliver projects from conception to operation.
• Broad experience in propulsion testing and operations.
• Ability to generate and execute detailed test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team of engineers and technicians conducting liquid rocket engine propulsion tests.
• Develop, review and execute detailed test procedures and schedules.
• Review test data for facility health and engine performance.
• Specify and procure components and propellants; manage vendors and subcontractors.
• Plan and oversee facility schedule; contribute to configuration management and process control.
• Promote safety of the test team and test stand operations.
