Job summary

Oregon State University's KidSpirit program seeks an Instruction, Lesson Planning & Youth Accountability Head Instructor (65%). You will create engaging, age-appropriate lessons, prioritize skill mastery, and ensure emotional safety for youth.

Responsibilities include supervision, evaluation through observation, and strong family communication. Archery experience is preferred, with additional duties in equipment management and staff training.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as a student in a college/university
• Experience in archery is preferred
• Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities
• Strong communication with participants, staff, and families

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain an instructional environment prioritizing skill mastery and safety.
• Plan, prepare, and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities.
• Use observation and feedback to evaluate participants and staff performance.
• Maintain accountability and supervision for youth in assigned areas.
• Promote program through family engagement and communications.
• Attend orientation sessions, meetings, and training.
• Assist with equipment management and reporting of needs or safety concerns.
• May require lifting up to 35 lbs.
