Job summary

  • Follow Scheels policies and maintain professional appearance.

Responsibilities
  • Be knowledgeable to answer questions concerning price, location and use of merchandise
  • Stock Shelves, counters and/or tables with merchandise
  • Carefully follow instructions per specific requests of customers while maintaining safety requirements
  • Service bows which may include the following:
    • Setting up bows with accessories
    • Tuning Bows
    • Repairing bows
    • Stringing Bows
  • Communicate process of repair and suggestions for ongoing maintenance
  • Maintain an orderly and exceptionally clean appearance of personal work space, archery bench, back stock and surrounding areas
  • Attend sales and product knowledge training when required
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondences
  • Be professional in appearance and attitude while contributing to a positive team atmosphere - treating others with respect and consideration
  • Following all of SCHEELS' policies and procedures
  • Ability to work assigned schedule - which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Complete other duties that may be assigned by leadership

Education & Experience

Must be at least the age of 18. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a high school diploma, or general education degree (GED), 1-3 months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Very heavy work - Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for heavy work.

Schedule
  • Must be flexible to work an assigned shift scheduled between 4pm-9pm Monday through Friday, 9am-7pm Saturday and 11am-6pm Sunday
  • Schedule is generally 1-2 nights/week and every other weekend
