The Archery Camp Instructor (Camp Counselor) is responsible for the safety, well-being, and supervision of campers. All duties will reflect the YMCA of the USA character development traits of honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility.

What You’ll Do
  • Ensure camper safety and well-being, maintaining a risk-free environment
  • US Archery instruction certification preferred; certification provided during onboarding
  • Assist in planning and implementing activities per camp schedule
  • Maintain positive relationships with campers, parents, and staff
  • Organize and maintain camp equipment and supplies
  • Participate actively in all scheduled activities
  • Keep camp records, including accident reports, attendance, etc.
  • Comply with YMCA policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with the Head Counselor and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old or have prior camp experience with children
  • Ability to use technology effectively for program needs
  • Attend all required pre-camp and camp season trainings
  • Obtain and maintain necessary certifications before the first day
Work Conditions and Physical Demands

Must be able to stand, sit, walk, communicate, and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations can be provided for disabilities. Exposure to bacteria and viruses is possible.
