Archaeological Field Technicians (Field Based)

Position Overview

ERM is hiring Archaeological Field Technicians to support survey efforts for energy projects across the Gulf region. This is a project-term, field-based position requiring 100% travel. Responsibilities include conducting archaeological field surveys and assisting with related tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Digging shovel tests and screening soil
  • Visually inspecting land surfaces for artifacts
  • Bagging and recording artifacts' provenience
  • Maintaining detailed field notes
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate HSE policies
  • Performing additional duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
  • Completion of archaeological field school or prior survey experience
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain
  • Willingness to work weekends and over 40 hours when needed
  • Knowledge of archaeological survey protocols
  • Ability to work extended periods in the field
  • Meet criteria specified in Job Demands & Conditions Analysis
  • B.A. in Anthropology or related field (advantageous)
