Job summary

Esri in Redlands, CA is seeking a Software Engineer to help build ArcGIS Enterprise server-side components and cloud-ready services. You will work with a cross-functional global team to deliver scalable features from idea to deployment.

Candidates should have 2+ years in Java, experience with AWS/Azure, REST/SOAP, and relational databases; familiar with Docker/Kubernetes; strong debugging and collaboration skills; a Bachelor's in a related field.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience developing middleware software components using core Java, Servlets (JavaEE), JSP.
• Knowledge of cloud services including AWS and Azure (S3, SQS, EC2; Blob Service, Table Service, etc.).
• Familiarity with Java design patterns and relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, DB2).
• Experience with large code bases and web services (REST, SOAP).
• Proficient in debugging/profiling tools and source control (Git).
• Excellent problem-solving, design and development skills.

Responsibilities

• Build server-side Java components and web services powering geospatial workflows.
• Prototype, design, develop, and deliver scalable software features.
• Architect and develop features to meet customer requirements.
• Identify and fix bugs and performance issues across the stack.
