Duties & Responsibilities

• Follow specific care plans for clients and report on completed tasks.
• Assist with the personal care needs of the client (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide or assist in routine house cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry.
• Transport clients to doctor's appointments, grocery stores, and other errands.
• Assist clients with the self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report any changes in the client's condition.
• Maintain confidentiality due to access to sensitive information.
• Maintain regular, predictable, and flexible attendance to meet departmental needs.
• Follow all Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations and requirements.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements & Competencies

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Satisfactory completion of the agency's qualifying exam.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Six (6) months of recent experience or 2 years of part-time experience within the last 3 years as a PCA/HCA/CNA or equivalent, or 6 months of full-time experience within the past 2 years, or 1 year part-time experience within the last 3 years with training completion.
• CPR / First Aid certification if required by state or program.
• Nurturing and compassionate nature with a desire to care for others.
