Job summary

Doosan Bobcat is seeking a skilled welder in Minnesota to assemble metal components according to layouts, blueprints, and procedures. This second shift (4:30pm-3:00am, Mon-Thurs with possible Friday OT) offers a base pay scale of $24.50-$36.08 per hour plus a $2.00 shift differential.

The role includes setup, welding, inspection, and adherence to safety and 5S standards. Qualified candidates read blueprints, follow established methods, and perform under time pressure to meet build requirements.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow established methods and procedures.
• Ability to read build sheets/blueprints.
• Travel < 10%.

Responsibilities

• Sets up electrode wire per procedure to prepare welding equipment for operation.
• Positions and clamps work pieces together or in a jig or fixture.
• Strikes arc and guides electrode along weld line to form specified fusion and bead.
• Examines weld for bead size and specifications.
• Cleans weld joint using power equipment; runs spot welder as needed.
• Ensures quality surfaces near weld zone and maintains 5S in workspace.
