Overview

The San Bernardino County Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk (ARC) is recruiting for a Senior Office Assistant who performs complex clerical support duties. The resulting list will be used to fill vacancies in Twin Peaks only. Candidates who do not indicate a willingness to work in Twin Peaks will be disqualified.

Responsibilities
  • Collecting, entering, processing, sorting, and tabulating information
  • Providing general information to the public via phone or in-person
  • Answering questions regarding specific departmental procedures and practices
  • Processing a variety of documents
  • Maintaining files
  • Scheduling appointments and meetings
  • Preparing letters, reports, invoices, and other documents
  • Performing data entry
Eligibility & Qualifications

Official Title: Senior Office Assistant

  • Experience: Must possess one (1) year of full-time work experience performing clerical functions in an office environment. Duties must include a variety of office clerical tasks, including public/in-person contact, computer usage, typing, filing, answering the telephone, and data entry. Note: Retail sales, Cashier, and food service experience are not considered qualifying.
  • Bilingual Skills (Spanish/English): Highly desirable and should be noted on the application. Bilingual compensation may be available; additional testing may be required.
  • Excellent Computer Skills: Highly desirable and should be noted in the supplemental questionnaire.
