Harrison Steel Castings Company is seeking skilled melters to operate 20-ton electric arc furnaces, melt and refine steel to customer specifications, and document each heat in logs and summaries. The role requires handling multiple heats per shift and adapting to schedule changes on short notice.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in a heavy industrial environment operating machines.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications.
• Mathematical ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide on the fly.
• Ability to make quick decisions and monitor the safety of the environment and all others working in the area.

Aufgaben

• Operate electric arc furnaces safely and following work instructions and specification requirements
• Fill out a melting log and summary sheet for each heat of steel melted
• Check and monitor all furnace and auxiliary equipment to insure they are in good physical, mechanical, and electrical operating condition
• Shift flexibility required
