Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to assist in store operations, ensure excellent customer service, and supervise personnel. The ideal candidate will help maintain a pleasant work environment and support the Store Manager in achieving sales goals.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to motivate a team. Experience in sales and supervisory roles is preferred.

Assistant Store Manager

• Assist the Store Manager with store operations and supervision of store personnel.
• Work cooperatively with the Store Manager to create a pleasant and hospitable work environment.
• Maintain excellent customer service relationships and hold staff accountable for compliance with policies and procedures.
• Assist in scheduling Sales Associates, completing payroll, meeting sales, production, and expense budget goals to maintain a profitable operation.
• Ensure the store is well stocked and all production is properly displayed on the sales floor.
• Receive applications, participate in interviewing, assist in training, direction and supervision of personnel, and assist with regular evaluations of store personnel to identify performance strengths and areas for development.
