Responsibilities as a Trimmer Trainee
- Participate in climbing skills training programs
- Work in a team environment performing line clearing and tree trimming duties
- Climb trees for manual trimming and removals
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely
- Remove limbs, brush, and debris
- Apply spray chemicals and preserve vegetation
- Enforce safety practices to protect employees and the public
Minimum Requirements
- At least six months of experience as a ground crew member or equivalent around utility wires
- Ability to perform physical labor, lifting at least 50 lbs
- Capability to operate two-handed equipment and endure extreme weather conditions
- Willingness to obtain necessary certifications and licenses
- Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification
- Pass pre-employment drug and skills tests
- Valid Driver’s License
