Responsibilities as a Trimmer Trainee

• Participate in climbing skills training programs
• Work in a team environment performing line clearing and tree trimming duties
• Climb trees for manual trimming and removals
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely
• Remove limbs, brush, and debris
• Apply spray chemicals and preserve vegetation
• Enforce safety practices to protect employees and the public

Minimum Requirements

• At least six months of experience as a ground crew member or equivalent around utility wires
• Ability to perform physical labor, lifting at least 50 lbs
• Capability to operate two-handed equipment and endure extreme weather conditions
• Willingness to obtain necessary certifications and licenses
• Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification
• Pass pre-employment drug and skills tests
• Valid Driver’s License
