Position Overview

Climbing Arborist Experienced

Trim and remove trees, eliminate unwanted, diseased, or dying limbs to maintain the health and safety of trees or surrounding areas by performing the following duties.

We are currently looking to add a dynamic Climbing Arborist to our passionate team of landscape professionals.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Operate as an active crew member supporting ground crew and foreman.
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients, including:
• Pruning, thinning, and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy
• Installation of cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems
• Removal of hazardous trees
• Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts

Qualifications

What We’re Seeking:

• Preferred background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Love of the outdoors
• Ability to complete the Davey first aid, CPR, and defensive driving course upon hire
• Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
