Biltmore Estate seeks an Arborist 2 to maintain historic trees, prune and remove as needed, and install support and lightning protection systems. This role uses rope-access climbing or aerial lifts and requires strong teamwork and safety discipline on a world-class estate.

Seeking candidates with climbing experience, tree ID skills, and knowledge of ANSI Z133/A300 standards. Certification such as ISA/TRAQ and CPR may be preferred; NC CDL is required or obtainable.

Qualifikationen

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of professional tree climbing experience.
• Basic tree identification skills.
• Proficiency with rope, knots, and rigging for removals.
• Team player in a quality-focused, guest-service oriented team.
• Familiarity with ANSI Z133 and A300 standards.
• Proficiency with chainsaw, chipper, skid steer, and aerial lift.
• ISA Certified Arborist or ability to obtain within 1 year; TRAQ desired.
• CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 2 months.
• Must hold NC CDL Class A or B.

Aufgaben

• Operate arborist equipment safely including saws, chippers, loaders and lifts.
• Climb trees with or without hooks to prune or remove.
• Maintain tools and equipment; secure at day end.
• Prioritize accident prevention and safety.
• Assist Crew Leader with daily materials and tasks.
• Work outside in various weather; be available after hours, weekends and holidays.
• Attend training sessions to improve skills.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
