Bartlett Tree Experts is seeking an Arborist Ground Person in Lebanon, NJ. You will be part of a tree care crew, gaining hands-on experience in pruning, rigging, cabling, removal, and equipment operation while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• A passion for nature, the environment and the outdoors.
• Interest in working outdoors year-round performing manual labor in all weather conditions.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to participate within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Prior tree care, landscaping, forestry, or horticulture experience is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Landscape Management, Environmental Science or related field is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Learn on-the-job to safely perform all aspects of arboriculture, including pruning trees, rigging, cabling and bracing, removal of hazardous trees, and operating tools (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Implement work zone safety procedures and assist Arborist Climbers and Crew Leaders on ground and aloft.
• Assist with driving, backing, dumping and parking duties.
• Learn, understand and adhere to all safety rules and company safety policies.
