Bartlett Tree Experts in Harrisburg, PA is seeking an Arborist Ground Person to join our tree care crew. This entry-level role offers hands-on training in pruning, rigging, cabling, and hazardous-tree removal on residential and commercial properties.

You will learn safety procedures and operate equipment while supporting climbers and ground crews. A safety-focused mindset and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• A passion for nature and the outdoors.
• Interest in working outdoors year-round performing manual labor in all weather.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Prior tree care, landscaping, forestry, or horticulture experience is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Landscape Management, Environmental Science or related field is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Learn through on-the-job training to safely perform all aspects of arboriculture.
• Pruning trees, rigging, cabling and bracing, removal of hazardous trees.
• Maintain and operate equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Implement work zone safety procedures.
• Assist Arborist Climbers and Crew Leaders on ground and aloft.
• Support with driving, backing, dumping, and parking duties.
• Adhere to all safety rules and company safety policies.
