As an Arborist Climber Trainee, your responsibilities include:

• Learning to perform all aspects of arboriculture safely, such as:
• Tree climbing
• Pruning
• Rigging
• Cabling and bracing
• Removing hazardous trees
• Tree identification
• Maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts)
• Implementing work zone safety procedures
• Assisting arborist climbers and crew leaders on the ground and aloft
• Supporting driving, backing, dumping, and parking duties

Adhering to all safety rules and policies

Having a passion for nature and the outdoors

Willingness to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions

Valid driver's license

A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and teamwork skills

Prior experience in tree care, landscaping, forestry, turf care, or horticulture is preferred but not required

A degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Turfgrass, Environmental Science, Plant Science, Outdoor Recreation, Agriculture, or related fields is preferred but not required
