Job summary

Bartlett Tree Experts in Riverhead, NY is hiring an Arborist Climber to join our tree care crew. The role centers on climbing and supporting Arborist Crew Leaders to perform tree and shrub care on residential and commercial properties.

This full-time position emphasizes safety, professional development, and in-field training. Expect compensation in the $24.00–$40.00 per hour range, with opportunities for advancement and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• At least one year of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience.
• Valid driver's license (Class B CDL preferred).
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
• Commitment to safety rules and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform ground, tree climbing, and aerial lift duties in support of specific job assignments, as directed by the Arborist Crew Leader.
• Safely perform all aspects of arboriculture, including tree identification, risk assessments, pruning, removals, cabling and bracing, and root collar excavations.
• Properly maintain and operate tools and equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts).
• Learn, understand, and adhere to all safety rules and company safety policies.
• Demonstrate a passion for nature, the environment and the outdoors.
