JM Arbor Care LLC is seeking a climbing arborist in Rock Hill, SC to maintain and enhance the health, safety, and beauty of trees in our community. The role involves working at heights, using climbing techniques, pruning, trimming, and removals with emphasis on safety and precision.

You will operate bucket trucks, perform rigging, and assist with landscaping tasks to support site aesthetics while following strict safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 2 years professional tree care experience required.
• Experience with trimming, pruning, cabling or removals preferred.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Safely climb trees using ropes, harnesses, and other gear to access pruning/removal areas.
• Perform trimming, pruning, cabling, bracing, and removal with precision for tree health and safety.
• Operate bucket trucks and bucket operation equipment to reach high branches securely.
• Conduct rigging operations to carefully lower large limbs or tree sections.
• Assist with landscaping tasks such as lawn care and planting to support site aesthetics.
• Maintain equipment including chainsaws, rigging gear, bucket trucks, and safety gear.

Responsibilities

• Safely climb trees using ropes, harnesses, and other technical gear to access difficult or elevated areas for pruning or removal.
• Perform tree trimming, pruning, cabling, bracing, and removal with precision to promote tree health and safety.
• Operate bucket trucks and bucket operation equipment to reach high branches efficiently and securely.
• Conduct rigging operations to carefully lower large limbs or tree sections during removals or pruning.
• Assist with landscaping tasks such as lawn care, landscape maintenance, and planting to support overall site aesthetics.
• Maintain equipment including chainsaws, rigging gear, bucket trucks, and safety gear to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow all safety protocols diligently while working at heights or with heavy machinery to prevent accidents or injuries.

Experience

• Growing experience in arboriculture or related fields such as horticulture, landscaping, or lawn care is preferred.
• Prior experience with tree care practices including tree trimming, pruning, cabling, or removals is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with rigging techniques used in tree work for safe lowering of large limbs or sections.
• Experience operating bucket trucks or similar aerial lift equipment demonstrates technical proficiency.
• Strong understanding of landscape maintenance principles including lawn care and general horticulture practices.
• Certification in arboriculture or related disciplines is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
