Job summary

Bartlett Tree Experts in Guilford, CT is seeking a Production Arborist to join our tree care crew. The role centers on ground and tree climbing work, aiding Arborist Crew Leaders with residential and commercial property projects.

You will perform climbing, aerial lift tasks, and a range of arboriculture duties including pruning, removals, cabling, and root collar excavations, while upholding safety rules and developing professional skills through our training programs.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience.
• Valid driver's license (Class B CDL preferred).
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
• Knowledge of tree identification and tree risk assessments is a plus.
• Adherence to safety rules and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform ground, tree climbing, and aerial lift duties as directed by the Arborist Crew Leader.
• Safely perform all arboriculture tasks including tree identification, risk assessments, pruning, removals, cabling and bracing, and root collar excavations.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts).
• Learn and adhere to Bartlett safety rules and policies.
• Demonstrate a passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors.

As an Arborist Climber, you will play an important role in

• Performing ground, tree climbing, and aerial lift duties in support of specific job assignments, as directed by the Arborist Crew Leader
• Safely performing all aspects of arboriculture, including
• Tree identification

• Properly maintaining and operating tools and equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)
• Learning, understanding, and adhering to all safety rules and company safety policies

• At least one (1) year of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift operation experience in the tree care industry
• Valid driver's license (Class B CDL preferred)
