Job summary

Bartlett Tree Experts in Denville, NJ is seeking an Arborist Climber to join a professional tree-care crew. You will perform tree climbing and assist Arborist Crew Leaders with pruning, removals, and other arboriculture tasks on residential and commercial properties.

Work outdoors year-round in a safety-first environment with opportunities for advancement and training; a valid driver’s license and climbing experience are required to succeed.

Qualifications

• At least one (1) year of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift operation experience.
• Valid driver’s license (Class B CDL preferred).
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
• A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors.
• Safely performing all aspects of arboriculture, including tree identification, risk assessments, pruning, removals, cabling and bracing, and root collar excavations.
• Learn and adhere to all safety rules and company safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Performing ground, tree climbing, and aerial lift duties in support of specific job assignments, as directed by the Arborist Crew Leader.
• Safely performing all aspects of arboriculture, including: Tree identification.
• Tree risk assessments.
• Pruning.
• Removals.
• Cabling and bracing.
• Root collar excavations.
• Properly maintaining and operating tools and equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts).
• Learning, understanding, and adhering to all safety rules and company safety policies.
