Job summary

Leidos in the United States seeks an Arabic Linguist to provide translation, interpretation, transcription, and gisting with cultural insight for national security missions. TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required and must be fully adjudicated before starting.

The role emphasizes language proficiency tests, MS Office use, and ability to brief stakeholders on findings; travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• BA or Master’s with required years of experience as stated.
• 5+ years translation, transcription, or interpretation experience preferred.
• Must complete language proficiency tests and score 90%+ on English tests.
• HLT experience is a plus; MS Office proficiency expected.
• All candidates take language tests administered by Leidos or vendor.

Responsibilities

• Provide translation across Arabic-English and vice versa.
• Deliver consecutive and occasional simultaneous interpretation.
• Transcribe audio/visual materials accurately.
• Gist and summarize key facts from large datasets.
• Brief and communicate findings to stakeholders as needed.
