Description

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a dynamic and creative team charged with exploring a rapidly evolving domain. As a member of the ARKit team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to all aspects of ARKit, visionOS and iOS. A key responsibility will be to champion performance analysis and active optimization of ARKit features across platforms. You will also be working with cross-functional partners on new features, designing and implementing the architecture and frameworks of our developer-facing API. You will work closely with internal clients to review code and architectural designs, ensuring we’re fulfilling their requirements as efficiently as possible.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Computer Science or similar field, and a minimum 2 years of industry experience with a track record of successful projects
  • Proficiency in Obj-C, C++ and/or C. Proficiency in Swift is a bonus.
  • Experience using of visionOS, iOS and/or macOS system libraries, frameworks, and technologies
  • Experience profiling and optimizing performance and/or memory
  • Experience designing and implementing interfaces
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in multi-threading and concurrent processing, especially in both software and hardware
  • Experience optimizing and debugging complex systems
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and effective communication, both written and verbal with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams
  • A strong sense of responsibility, and an obsession with quality and details
  • Understanding of AI/ML models and/or Computer Vision is a bonus
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
