Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a newsroom producer to craft segments and complete newscasts for broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms. You will produce live and recorded content, edit under tight deadlines, and help shape community-focused coverage for WJZ.

You will write clear copy, edit stories with non-linear systems, optimize content for social and web, and collaborate with reporters, editors, and digital teams while maintaining high journalistic standards.

Qualifications

• Writing at college or professional level under daily deadlines.
• Proficiency with non-linear editing systems and video production workflows.
• Knowledge of AP Style and digital publishing best practices.
• Strong news judgment and ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Produce segments and/or complete newscasts for broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms.
• Produce live and recorded streaming programs, special coverage, and community-focused content.
• Edit news stories, franchise pieces, teases, promos, and special projects.
• Create and edit content for WJZ's AR/VR studio environment.
• Collaborate with producers, reporters, photographers, anchors, assignment editors, and digital teams.
