Description

Apple Inc. seeks professionals for roles in Cupertino, California, and other locations across the USA. Responsibilities include researching, designing, developing, and testing electronic components and systems for various applications, employing knowledge of electronic theory and material properties. Develop novel diffractive optics metrology tools utilizing robotics and mechanical automation. Complete CAD designs, source components, and build mechanical tools to analyze critical quality metrics. Write custom control and automation software for these tools, process data, and validate metrics. Ensure tools perform as expected and transfer lab-developed tools to mass production. This role requires 10% domestic travel. The annual base salary ranges from $175,800 to $264,200, depending on skills, experience, and location. Apple offers a comprehensive compensation package, including stock options, benefits, and educational reimbursement.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with CAD design of mechanical parts and assemblies
  • Experience applying forces to mechanical assemblies
  • Development of automation/control systems for complex movable assemblies
  • Rapid prototyping of custom parts
  • Design, calibration, and testing of autonomous robotic systems
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical dynamics
