Job description

*TEKsystems is currently searching for qualified candidates to fill openings for an Accounts Receivable Charge Off Specialist.*
*This is a HYBRID position and requires all candidates to be local to the Vienna, VA area.*
*Job Description:*
To recover debt on savings and checking accounts that have been charged off. Review and analyze information in various automated systems (e.g., Collection notes, joint owner information, demographic data, on-demand, e-client, UAD, CACS, and CAS). Determine reasons for non-payment and work with debtors and co-signors to establish an equitable repayment arrangement. Counsel and assist members and joint owners to address their financial obligations, negotiate repayment plans, and communicate via letters and telephone. Update member alerts and recovery systems with payment information and account status. Maintain records of actions taken and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
*Skills & Qualifications:*

  • 2-3+ years of recent call center customer service OR collections experience REQUIRED
  • Current or prior banking knowledge/experience
  • Ability to handle back-to-back calls; 65-75 per day
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data entry
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to remain calm under stress while providing excellent customer service

*Location:* Vienna, VA — HYBRID (onsite 2 days/week)
*Pay Rate:* $22.00/hour
*Work Hours:* Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 6:30 pm EST (starting likely 10 am-6:30 pm)
*Training:* Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm EST for 3 weeks onsite
*First Month Policy:* No time off allowed
