Job summary

You will develop and maintain reports and analytical tools to monitor AR performance, coordinate with clinical, billing, coding and insurance teams, and drive improvements in cash collections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in hospital, behavioral health, healthcare patient accounting, or revenue cycle operations.
• Experience analyzing patient accounts, accounts receivable, claims, payments, adjustments, and insurance balances.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and healthcare systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze patient accounts receivable at the account and payer level to identify outstanding balances, aging, and denials.
• Research and resolve insurance payment discrepancies, including underpayments and credit balances.
• Communicate with insurance carriers regarding missing payments and claim status.
• Identify trends in denials, billing errors, and eligibility issues to drive improvements.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and tracking tools for AR performance.
• Monitor aging, days in AR, denial activity, and collection performance.
• Support credentialing processes including ETIN, Medicare, and Medicaid enrollments.
• Lead or participate in revenue cycle improvement initiatives.
• Promote service excellence and effective communication across departments.
