Job summary

Responsibilities

• Accurately apply customer payments received by check, ACH, wire, and credit card to the correct customer accounts and invoices.
• Prepare and post cash receipts promptly with proper documentation.
• Review cash and credit card reports, research discrepancies, and coordinate with internal teams to resolve unapplied or incorrectly applied payments.
• Prepare daily cash balance analyses and communicate discrepancies or outstanding items.
• Process cash deposits and assist with monthly bank reconciliations, researching and resolving reconciling items.
• Support month-end close by preparing balance sheet reconciliations and schedules within deadlines.
• Perform assigned SOX controls and maintain evidence of control performance.
• Provide documentation for internal and external audit requests.
• Identify opportunities to improve cash application and reconciliation processes.
• Complete additional accounting assignments and ad hoc requests as needed.

Your Role at Multiview

We are seeking an AR Staff Accountant who supports daily accounts receivable operations by accurately recording customer payments, reconciling cash activity, and resolving payment discrepancies. This position maintains accurate financial records, supports month-end close and audit activities, and follows company policies, established internal controls, and SOX requirements.

Core Responsibilities

• Accurately apply customer payments received by check, ACH, wire transfer, and credit card to the appropriate customer accounts and invoices.
• Prepare and post cash receipts promptly, ensuring transactions are complete, accurate, and supported by appropriate documentation.
• Review cash and credit card reports, research discrepancies, and coordinate with internal teams to resolve unapplied or incorrectly applied payments.
• Prepare daily cash balance analyses and communicate discrepancies or outstanding items.
• Process cash deposits and assist with monthly bank reconciliations, including researching and resolving reconciling items.
• Support month-end close by preparing assigned balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules within established deadlines.
• Perform assigned SOX controls, follow approval and segregation-of-duties requirements, and maintain organized evidence of control performance.
• Provide accurate and timely documentation for internal and external audit requests.
• Identify opportunities to improve the accuracy and efficiency of cash application and reconciliation processes.
• Complete additional accounting assignments and ad hoc requests as needed.
