Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Water Safety Certification required
• Lifeguard Certification preferred
• Experience with special education students preferred
• Current police, child abuse & FBI fingerprint clearances required

Duties & Responsibilities

• Organize and provide Water Safety Instruction to students, including those with special needs
• Ensure students' safety and health during swimming lessons
• Maintain accurate records on attendance, resources, and pool maintenance
• Follow health regulations for pool operation
• Maintain discipline and collaborate with teachers
• Keep equipment safe and clean
• Report health and safety issues to the appropriate personnel
• Adhere to school policies regarding student discipline

Salary Range (2024-2025 SY)

Support Band 10: $20.85/hr. - $26.06/hr. ($29,085.75 - $36,353.70 annually)

Placement depends on experience.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• Up to 7.5 hours per day as needed
• 185 days per year (186 days in the first year)
