Job summary

A leading company in the fitness industry is seeking an Aquatics Swim Instructor to help adults and children improve their swimming skills. In this role, you will teach swimming lessons, maintain a safe pool area, and assist with Aquatics programs. Ideal candidates will be working towards a High School Diploma and possess CPR and Lifeguard certifications.

Qualifications

  • CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard Certifications required within 60 days of hire.
  • Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods.
  • Swim lesson instruction or coaching experience preferred.

Job description

Position Summary

As an Aquatics Swim Instructor, you will work in a fast-paced environment, helping adults and children improve their swimming skills. You will teach life skills to our youngest members, evaluate their swimming abilities to assign appropriate swim levels, and assist in maintaining the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Instruct swimming lessons and Aquatics events.
  2. Respond to member questions, comments, and concerns.
  3. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized pool area.
  4. Promote and sell all Aquatics programs and services.

Position Requirements

  1. Working towards a High School Diploma or GED.
  2. CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard Certifications (within 60 days of hire).
  3. Complete and pass all Life Time courses upon hiring.
  4. Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods.
  5. Effective communication skills to interact with guests regarding Life Time products and services.
  6. Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping.
  7. Ability to routinely lift more than 20 lbs.

Preferred Requirements

  • Swim lesson instruction or coaching experience.

Pay: This is an hourly position with wages starting at $17.50 and up to $20.50, based on experience and qualifications.
