Job summary

Life Time Inc. is seeking an Aquatics Swim Instructor in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. You will teach adults and children how to swim, enhance their swimming abilities, and help maintain a clean Aquatics Facility.

Qualified candidates will have the ability to communicate well with guests, meet physical demands, and work towards a High School Diploma or GED. This position offers an hourly wage starting at $16.00, with benefits including a subsidized membership, discounts, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a stationary position for prolonged periods.
• Ability to routinely bend to lift 20 lbs or less.
• Successfully complete all Life Time courses upon hire.

Position Summary

As an Aquatics Swim Instructor, you will work in a fast-paced environment. You will help both adults and children improve their swimming. You will teach life skills to our youngest members and evaluate their swimming ability to establish the correct swim level. You will help to maintain the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Instruct swimming lessons and Aquatics events
• Respond to member questions, comments, and concerns
• Provide a safe, clean and organized pool area
• Promote and sell all Aquatics programs and services

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED
• Successfully complete and pass all Life Time courses upon hire
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20 lbs

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations

• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.

Preferred Qualifications

• Swim lesson instruction or coaching experience

Pay

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $16.00 and pays up to $19.00, based on experience and qualifications.
