Job summary

Life Time is seeking an Aquatics Supervisor to oversee our state-of-the-art pools, indoors and outdoors. You will train Aquatics Team Members, respond to member inquiries, and ensure clean, safe facilities while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include maintaining high programming standards, promoting Life Time swim programs, and ensuring a welcoming environment for members and guests. On-site role with opportunities to lead and coach others within the aquatics team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work on-site and move around the club.
• Able to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping.
• Able to lift up to 20 lbs repeatedly and tread water for 1 minute.
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid certifications required or bridge to StarGuard within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Aquatics Team Members provide a safe, friendly environment for members and guests.
• Respond to member inquiries about Life Time programs, products, services, policies and procedures.
• Maintain the highest level of programming and activity in the pool area.
• Promote Life Time swim programs.

Job description

Position Summary

As the Aquatics Supervisor, you will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You will help members improve their swimming in our state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoors and out. This position assists in managing and training all Aquatics Team Members. You will help members and guests by providing great customer service and maintaining the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures Aquatics Team Members offer a safe and friendly environment for all members and guests
• Responds to Member inquiries about Life Time programs, products, services, policies, and procedures
• Ensures we have the highest level of programming
• Promotes Life Time swim program

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to routinely bend to raise 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute
• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping

Education:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

Years of Experience:

• 6 months of customer service experience
• 1 year coaching and/or swim instructor experience
• 1 year of lifeguarding experience
• 6 months of head guard or supervising experience

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:

• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Some college or working towards a 4 year degree
