Goldfish Swim School of Cleveland is seeking an enthusiastic supervisor to manage, coach, and grow our team of 50+ swim instructors and lifeguards.

Requirements:

• Ability to work well with children
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Job Summary:

Manage assigned shifts, supervise lifeguards and swim instructors, maintain pool environment, and interact with students and parents/guardians. Demonstrate expert knowledge of all swim curriculum levels and GSS policies.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, discipline, and provide constructive feedback to instructors and deck staff
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and prepare the deck
• Evaluate instructors periodically
• Engage with parents regarding student progress
• Act as a GSS ambassador to ensure customer satisfaction
• Complete daily logs and monitor student attendance
• Ensure pool cleanliness and chemical levels
• Serve as substitute instructor when needed
• Coach staff through workshops and training
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED preferred. Two+ years as a swim instructor preferred. Experience in youth sports, camp counseling, or teaching is a plus. College degree preferred.

Certifications:

Ellis Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications required; on-site certification provided with a $100 bonus.
