Job summary

The City of Cape Girardeau seeks a facilities and aquatics programs supervisor to assist in managing the Jefferson Community Center, Cape Aquatic Center, and Cape Splash facilities. You will oversee staff, develop programs, and coordinate concessions and special events.

You will work with marketing and operations teams to schedule events, track budgets, and ensure quality customer service. The role requires valid driver’s license and lifeguard certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising part-time staff and coordinating programs.
• Knowledge of aquatic facility operations and safety practices.
• Ability to prepare and interpret basic budgets and reports.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate part-time staff.
• Develop aquatic programs, leagues, tournaments, and events.
• Manage concession operations including inventory and revenue tracking.
• Coordinate facility scheduling and maintenance oversight.
• Collaborate with marketing on brochures and promotional materials.
