The City of Largo is seeking a creative and energetic Recreation Leader II to join our Southwest Pool team. You will design and lead aquatic programs, supervise staff, and coordinate rentals while ensuring safety and inclusion for all participants.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old at time of application submission.
• High School Diploma or GED and two years college coursework in recreation or a closely related field.
• Certification in CPR and AED within 6 months of hire; training provided.
• Aquatic staff need current Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor certifications; preferred.
• Experience in aquatics staff or related fields is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead engaging aquatic programs such as swim lessons, water fitness classes, and special events.
• Create seasonal schedules and assist with marketing and outreach efforts.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all participants.
• Supervise part-time staff and volunteers during programs and events.
• Evaluate program success and recommend improvements.
