Job summary

United States Army Installation Management Command seeks a qualified professional to plan, administer, and execute aquatic programs across facilities. Applicants must demonstrate expertise in lifeguarding, water safety instruction, and facility operations, with related certifications and degrees as applicable.

Highly preferred credentials include Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Trainer, Water Safety Instructor Trainer, and Aquatic Facilities Operator, plus experience managing a government pool.

Qualifications

• Possesses demonstrated experience in planning, administering and executing aquatic programs.
• Ability to obtain and maintain ARC Lifeguard and First Aid CPR certifications within six months of employment.

Incentives and Bonuses

Incentives may be paid. Up to 25% recruitment or relocation and/or retention incentive may be paid (service agreement required). Recruitment incentives are applicable to newly hired individuals/rehired individuals. Relocation incentives are applicable to current, regular full-time NAF employees.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

Possesses demonstrated experience in planning, administering and executing aquatic programs. This experience may have been gained managing indoor or outdoor aquatic programs and facilities. Required experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade level. An undergraduate or graduate degree in related fields such as physical education or kinesiology may be substituted for six (6) months of the required work experience. *Transcripts must be submitted at the time of application if you are using education to qualify. Ability to obtain within six (6) months of employment, and maintain, the following certifications: American Red Cross Lifeguarding and First Aid CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED Lifeguard Instructor (Red Cross) Water Safety Instructor (Red Cross) Aquatic Facilities Operator (AFO)

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified" and referred to the hiring official first.

Lifeguard Instructor Trainer (Red Cross) Certificate Water Safety Instructor Trainer (Red Cross) Certificate Equipment Qualification (Demonstrated knowledge and ability to instruct patrons on the safe operation of exercise equipment, and perform basic maintenance and repair) Fitness/Aquatics Instructor Certification (Nationally Recognized Basic Fitness Trainer or Aquatic Exercise Association Instructor) Adapted Aquatics Instructor Certificate Possess at least six (6) months or more of experience managing a FMWR or Government pool
