Pay Range: $48,000 to $55,000
Job Objective:
As the Aquatics Manager you will provide oversight for the daily operations of the aquatic center. Responsibilities include safety, operations, programming, equipment management, and staffing for the leisure pool, locker rooms, family changing rooms, associated mechanical spaces and other areas related to the aquatic center, ensuring that the Mission of The Salvation Army is effectively carried out.
What You Will Do:
Minimum Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.
Education: A. Bachelor's Degree in Recreational Management, Exercise science or other relevant field preferred.
Background Checks: Position requires a background check to be completed and all background check results will be reviewed.
Experience: 2 + years management experience in aquatic setting with progressive levels of responsibility in developing, planning, managing, and supervising aquatic facilities and programs; including developing and administering budgets, staff development, membership service, and community relations
Certifications: Must have a valid driver's license and maintain The Salvation Army Driver's qualification standard; must complete Safe From Harm training within the first 30 days of employment.
Professional certifications required include: American Red Cross Lifeguard, AED, CPRPR
Professional certifications preferred: American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor (LGI), Water Safety Instructor (WSI). Aquatic Facility Operator or Certified Pool Operator certification, Certified Lifeguard Instructor Trainer (LGIT), Water Safety Instructor Trainer (WSIT). Must be able to obtain an AFO or CPO certification within 90 days of hire.
