The Town of Sudbury Park and Recreation Department is seeking an Aquatics Manager for Atkinson Pool, a full-time 35-hour-per-week role. The Town of Sudbury Park and Recreation Department is currently hiring for the position of Aquatics Manager. This is a full-time (35 hours per week), benefits-eligible position responsible for managing programs, personnel and operations at the Atkinson Pool, an 8 lane, 25 yard lap pool with a separate diving well. Atkinson Pool is located at the recently renovated Fairbank Community Center, a beautiful facility that also features a gym, multi-sport courts, multiple classrooms/spaces among other amenities.
The position oversees Aquatics Supervisors, the Head Lifeguard, lifeguards, swim instructors, and seasonal staff; manages aquatic programming, facility maintenance planning, vendor relationships, contracts, budgets, and customer service initiatives; and ensures compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. The Aquatics Manager also assists in the development and monitoring of the aquatics operating budget and revenue goals.
We are seeking candidates with strong interpersonal and communication skills who are organized, energetic and creative. Typical qualifications for this position include an Associate’s degree or higher in Recreation or a closely related field; and three years of experience managing an aquatic facility, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must be a Certified Pool Operator, have Lifeguard and CPR certification and valid driver’s license.
The full hiring range for this position is $65,510 – $86,155 (35 hours per week); starting salary is based on qualifications.
