Job description

This position is responsible for managing the overall operations of the Aquatics Division, including budget development, facilities infrastructure maintenance, program development, public relations activities, and marketing and promotion of aquatics.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and monitoring operational standards and processes for multiple aquatic facilities, including indoor facilities, family aquatic parks, seasonal pools, and spray grounds.
  2. Creating and implementing divisional goals, objectives, and performance measurements.
  3. Developing and monitoring safety procedures and standards, ensuring proper training and certifications for all employees.
  4. Preparing reports and presentations for City Council, Parks & Recreation Advisory Board, and various agencies.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in aquatics administration or a related field.
  2. Minimum of five years of related experience, including two years in a supervisory or lead role.
  3. Must obtain certifications such as Lifeguard Training, Instructor certifications, CPR, First Aid, AED, and O2 Instructor within one year of employment.
