Qualifications

• Education equivalent to high school graduation.
• One year of responsible maintenance experience is desirable.
• Possession of a valid Class C driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance including backwashing, filter cleaning, vacuuming, and pool chemical checks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or chemical issues related to pool operations.
• Repair or replace pool equipment including pumps, slide features, lane lines, and splash pad systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records (written and electronic).
• Monitor and maintain pool chemical inventory and equipment; coordinate resupply with the Recreation Supervisor.
• Transport supplies, deck furniture, and small equipment between aquatic facilities.
• Assist with pool setup for events or public activities, including occasional weekends.
• Operate a City vehicle for tasks such as supply pickups and deliveries.
